Indication

Prontosan® Wound Irrigation Solutions can be used for preventing infections in acute and chronic wounds including:

• Traumatic wounds


• Post-operative wounds


• Chronic skin ulcers (e.g. venous, diabetic or pressure ulcers)


• 1st and 2nd degree burns

Ingredients/ Composition:

• Purified Water


• Betaine surfactant


• 0.1% Polyaminopropyl Biguanide (Polihexanide)

Direction of Use:

• Rinse wound thoroughly with the solution


• Thickly encrusted wounds: leave solution to soak in for 15 min. No rinsing required afterwards


• Dressings and scabs sticking to wounds can be removed by soaking with the solution


• Close bottle immediately after use

Warning:

• Only for external use on skin wounds


• Do not use for infusion or injection


• Do not swallow
