Hollenback Carver is a hand cutting instrument which can be used to carve both amalgam and wax. It is commonly used to carve interproximal and occlusal anatomical fissures and grooves on restorations. The Hollenback carver can be ideally used to carve and shape amalgam restorations, both in occlusal and interproximal areas. Like most hand cutting instruments in dentistry, the main structure comprises of handle, shank, and cutting edge.
